The ASEAN Youth Volunteer Programme (AYVP) has been a great supporter of WISE and our capacity building project with HMTL. Co-founder Yoke Pean, who is also an alumni of the 2015 AYVP Program, was privileged to be invited to conduct a project management workshop for the 50 Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) youth leaders at this year’s program.
Held in Manila, Philippines, on 22 August 2016, the 7-hour workshop focused on getting participants to think of project management as a mindset that every successful team should possess. Participants learned how the Logical Framework Approach, a common methodology used in the international development field, could be applied in their projects.
Through a blend of discussions and hands-on activities, the workshop outlined a suite of tools that could be used to design and implement projects. Said Yoke Pean, “I was excited for the opportunity to share my experiences with this year’s cohort and meet the new batch of future leaders of sustainable development in ASEAN”.
As part of WISE’s mission, we offer training and facilitation on a wide range of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and cross-cutting topics. Contact us to find out more!
